In designing the new table lamp that later became the
Apex series, British designer John Tree took inspiration from the archetype of the classic bank lamp and combined it with a modern, colour sensibility to create an exciting and different collection of lamps that is characterised by classic features yet distinguished from conventional table lamps. With its slim, curved chrome frames and distinctive roof lampshades, the Apex series is instantly recognisable and stands out as a design-led work of utilitarian art.
Exceptional flexibility and versatility open up many possibilities for use
The series consists of table lamps and bracket lamps in several different versions, all in a wealth of beautiful colours ranging from neutral tones to soft pastels and deep shades to striking effect. The shade has a gloss lacquered finish and can be rotated a full 360 degrees to adjust the direction of the light, offering unprecedented flexibility in lamp design. The lamp is fitted with a small standard socket (E14 LED) which is suitable for many different bulb models. Thanks to the flexible shade, you can choose whether you want effective and direct lighting down towards the desktop or out into the room, indirect lighting by turning the shade so that the light is pointing towards the wall, or prefer the light to point upwards to create a diffused light that complements the overall lighting.
With its wide range of different table lamps and lights, the Apex collection can be useful for many rooms and interiors. Table lamps can be integrated into both the office and bedroom, while clip-on lamps can easily be screwed to a table top or to a shelf, bookshelf or anywhere else clear lighting is needed.
