GUBI Stemlite was originally designed by Bill Curry in the US in the mid-1960s at the peak of the zeitgeist of moon landings, atomic power, and Mickey Mouse. Bill Curry’s Stemlite looks like something taken out of the Jetson family’s home or a spaceship—and if you used to watch Star Trek, you might have noticed Stemlite floor lamps and table lamps aboard the USS Enterprise.
