Luceplan Lamps

Luceplan was founded in 1978 when the people behind the company decided it was time to turn their business into more than just a partnership.

Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto, and Sandra Severi created Luceplan as a rallying point for their creative energies and distinctinve solutions, all of which were pushed forward by the group’s desire to develop and innovate, and all incorporated into remarkably sustainable design.

Luceplan lamps

Luceplan was built on the following theses:

1. An eye for detail—having spare parts, maintenance and cleaning under control will inevitably extend the life expectancy of the product.
2. Lifecycle design—designing more than just the production of the product, but also the disposal methods and recycling uses available.
3. Respect for the environment—ensuring that paints and processes used are not harmful to the environment; decreasing environmental impact.
4. Research and development—research and development are an integral part of Luceplan.

It is important to look towards the future and gain an understanding of how their customers behave and how the production methods, resource procurement, optimisation, streamlining, distribution and purchase patterns in the industry are changing. Luceplan has always been one step ahead.

Energy efficiency is the company’s number one priority and cannot be limited to the relationship between lighting and energy consumption. The company prioritises the environment along the entire production process—from choosing materials to manufacturing the product, taking the durability and maintenance of the product into consideration.

If you manufacture products with a long life expectancy, it is important that the product is aesthetically pleasing and equipped with high-quality technology. But a long life expectancy also means that the product is environmentally friendly and able to withstand the test of time.
