GamFratesi
Born: 1975 (Stine Gam) and 1978 (Enrico Fratesi).\ Known works: Beetle chair, Suspence lamp, Volume lamp and Cheshire.\ Education: Architects.
GamFratesi was established in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The design duo met while both studying in Italy in 2004. GamFratesi have a studio in Copenhagen, but often travel to their base in Pesaro, Italy.
GamFratesi derives much of its creative drive from the fusion of tradition and innovation. They draw on the classic Danish design tradition of form following function and the classic Italian more intellectual and conceptual approach to design. At the intersection of their two cultures, GamFratesi creates designs that respectfully reflect tradition while also pointing towards a new expression.
The design duo has delivered iconic designs for GUBI and Fritz Hansen, among others.
