Lamps for the kitchen
In the kitchen it’s important to have proper working light, lighting that’s both decorative and practical.
To create the optimal working conditions at the kitchen counter it’s a good idea to use matte lighting to avoid shadows. Consider softlight bulbs or matte halogen spots.
To avoid creating your own shadow while you’re working, measure the width of the work surface and subtract a third. Use that number, measured out from the wall, to find your midpoint.
Several small lamps work better than one large one. Hang them so the light cones meet on the work surface to achieve the most even light.
