Simple elegance and sharp rigor are reflected throughout the beautiful Kubus series from By Lassen
It's not hard to see where Kubus gets its name. Each piece in the beautiful series is characterized by a clean, geometric design that takes the cube as its basic shape. The result is a delightful and coherent series of beautiful interior designs that can be combined in a variety of ways to achieve an incomparable coherence in the overall design concept of the room. The Kubus series consists primarily of candle holders and vases, all characterized by a frame-shaped frame in a monochrome surface. The clean, straight lines and right angles create a clear and cool expression that fits perfectly into minimalist and Scandinavian style interiors, be it in private homes or commercial settings. The range also includes a wide range of accessories to help you get the most out of the beautiful Kubus designs.

Danish design with a long history

The Kubus series has its roots back in the 60s, where the iconic candle holder of black lacquered metal was designed by Danish architect Mogens Lassen back in 1962. Lassen, who was inspired by cubism and the Bauhaus movement, is one of the biggest Danish names in Scandinavian functionalism. However, it wasn't until the 1980s that the candlestick was put into industrial production and thus became known in wider circles. It was Mogens Lassen's grandson, Søren Lassen, who is also behind the family business By Lassen, who put the staircase into production. He was in no doubt about the potential of the piece on the market - and it's fair to say that he was right. Since then, the collection of Kubus designs has grown to include many different variations of the iconic design, keeping the proud traditions alive and well.
