To control your Hue lighting you need a Bridge and you need to install the Philips Hue App on your smartphone or tablet. You can also buy a Dimmer Switch or a Tap Dimmer to help control the lighting throughout your home. These are the equivalent of a traditional wall switch where you can turn your lamp on and off and dim it, except that you can carry them around with you and use them like a remote control.
