The Primary Shape Cylinder wall light was designed by architect Thijs Prinsen for Serax and combines minimalist design with the expressive texture of concrete. Its cylindrical shape has a deliberately clean and purist look, whilst the rough surface lends the design a striking, tactile quality. The light is gently cast onto the wall, creating a pleasant, atmospheric glow that further emphasises the light’s architectural impact.
The Primary Shape collection was created as part of a renovation project in which reused bricks inspired the designer to translate elementary geometric shapes into contemporary lighting objects. The result is a range of lights with a minimalist aesthetic that combines material, form and light into a harmonious whole.
