The Melt hanging light is the impressive result of a collaboration between the ever-inventive and innovative designer Tom Dixon and the dynamic Swedish design collective FRONT. The idea was to create a "perfectly imperfect" design. This aspiration is reflected in the lamp's flowing, asymmetrical shape, which creates an organic and naturalistic expression.
The Melt hanging light is manufactured using a vacuum metallisation process, which gives the lamp its unique and dynamic appearance.
The built-in LED bulb creates an enchanting spectacle of molten glass when the lamp is switched on. The surface is shiny when the lamp is switched off, so this work of art looks stunning all day long.
