The Aurora ceiling light is a radiant highlight, lending every room a luxurious ambience. Its crystal-studded centre intensifies the light and creates fascinating reflections that seem to circle around the room. Thanks to its practical magnetic system, the Aurora can be effortlessly mounted to the ceiling. The artfully designed lampshade can be easily removed, making both changing the bulb and cleaning the fixture particularly convenient.

Crafted from high-quality technopolymers specially developed by the Italian lighting manufacturer Slamp, the Aurora combines innovative material technology with expressive design. The light was designed by the internationally renowned architect and designer Nigel Coates. Coates, a graduate of the University of Nottingham, was a professor and head of the architecture department at the Royal College of Art in London from 1995 to 2011, and art director at Slamp from 2008 to 2010. His designs are characterised by a fusion of art, intelligence and architecture – always interpreted with passion, irony and a keen sense of space and form.

Since its foundation in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani, Slamp has been synonymous with the development of innovative, partly patented materials such as Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex®. These exclusive technopolymers enable extraordinary lighting effects, are exceptionally durable and are assembled without adhesives or screws. Instead, the lights are meticulously handcrafted using sophisticated interlocking joints – resulting in designs that would be virtually impossible to realise with conventional materials.
