Zettel'z 6 – Designer pendant light with printed and customisable notes

The Zettel'z 6 pendant light transforms the often unwanted 'paper clutter' into a creative design concept. Instead of following fixed guidelines, it offers its owner maximum freedom: the shape, arrangement and messages on the notes can be designed entirely according to one’s own ideas, giving the light a distinctive character.

At the centre of the light is a mesh cylinder with an internal, heat-resistant glass cylinder that houses the bulb socket. From this basic framework, the individual design takes shape step by step. The supplied sticks – 40 long and 40 short – are inserted through the openings in the screen cylinder. The number, position and arrangement can be chosen freely until the desired shape of the light is achieved.

Then the characteristic notes come into play. The set includes 80 DIN A6 sheets of fine Japanese paper, 40 of which are printed and 40 unprinted. Whether using a ballpoint pen, pencil, tint or felt-tip pen – the slips can be written on, painted or creatively designed as you wish. This creates a truly personal light object with its own unique meaning.

The particularly thin, translucent Japanese paper creates a striking lighting effect. The slips attached to the rods are gently backlit, producing a fascinating interplay of light, shadow and personal messages.

The size and scale of the light can also be adjusted. Depending on how densely or loosely the pieces of paper are arranged, the Zettel'z 6 appears compact and understated or generous and room-filling. This allows it to adapt flexibly to different living situations and design preferences.
