The PH 3½-3 pendant light is part of the 3-shade family, which now comprises 20 lamps, including 3 for outdoor use. Back in 1925/1926, Poul Henningsen designed the 3-shade system, collaborating with Louis Poulsen to create the first lamps for an exhibition in Paris.
Throughout his life, Poul Henningsen sought to create glare-free light that was directed where it was needed and cast soft shadows. Thus, PH designed not just a lamp but a whole new system, and over the years, more than a thousand different models were produced.
The numbers on the PH lamps refer to the shade size. The PH 3½-3 pendant was introduced in 2017 in high-gloss chrome and black metallised
