The Matégot bowl is a futuristic bowl from the past. Designed by Mathieu Matégot, the bowl was originally born in 1953 - and therefore it is safe to say that the bowl is ahead of its time. It is made from the strong but lightweight material Rigitulle, which is a thin perforated metal plate that Mathieu Matégot was hugely enthusiastic about.
The plan is bent and twisted to form a bowl, which is held together by a thin metal wire. The whole bowl is lacquered and has a very clean and minimalist look, tending towards the industrial when placed on a coffee table, shelf or chest of drawers.
