Note on the raw copper finish: The lampshade is newly manufactured and supplied untreated and initially without a patina. The patina only begins to form after unpacking, through contact with the air. Moisture, for example from cooking or rainwater, can influence the development of the surface. The raw copper may begin to darken visibly after as little as 14 days. The exact rate of patination depends on the specific environmental conditions.
