It all began in 1986 with flowerpots. The brand was founded by brothers Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche. Today, Axel runs the family business. The collections are created as a team in Antwerp, together with designers from all over the world.
Forty years later, it has grown into an international brand. It has never lost sight of its origins.
Serax works with names such as Ann Demeulemeester, Kelly Wearstler, Piet Boon, Paola Navone and Vincent Van Duysen. There are also chefs like Ottolenghi and Sergio Herman as well as emerging talents.
The collections differ in style and material. What unites them is a commitment to usability and design.
Serax follows a clear ambition: design should be accessible, functional and of high quality. Four values shape the work:
- Creative entrepreneurship: New ideas are welcome at every level.
- Space for designers: Established names and emerging talents are given freedom for their own signature.
- Craftsmanship: Stone, wood, metal, glass and clay are reinterpreted by craftspeople. Every piece, from the generous sofa to the fine champagne glass, bears the traces of the hands that made it.
- Togetherness: These pieces are made for family dinners, evenings in the garden and special occasions.
Light and table culture belong together. When shaping a room, people often start with the light and then think about what sits beneath it. Serax considers both as one. With us, you will find the brand’s lighting, carefully selected and viewed in the context of your home.
- Dinnerware: From bone china to stoneware. You can choose a complete set or freely combine plates, jugs, bowls and platters.
- Lighting: Lighting, including pieces by Lauren Van Driessche.
- Home accessories, furniture and pottery: Accessories, furniture for indoors and outdoors, and ceramics for home and garden.
