Who knows what happened on the day that Ingo Maurer designed the beautiful I Ricchi Poveri Bzzzz Table Lamp Blue.
Perhaps he was scratching his head in his Munich studio, looking for inspiration - and a dragonfly flew in through the open window on a Bavarian summer's day. As those familiar with the fun brand that makes this lamp know, anything can be a lamp at Ingo Maurer - so why not make a dragonfly lamp?
The name I Ricchi Poveri means the rich poor, and is possibly a tongue-in-cheek reference to nature and the light bulb. The lamp is equipped with Ambient technology, which is the halogen-loving company Ingo Maurer's answer to the power-saving LED. The lamp comes with dim-to-warm technology and is made of steel, brass and anodised aluminium.
