Philippe Starck, the famous French industrial designer, has expanded his In Vitro collection with a new portable lamp called In Vitro Unplugged. This addition to outdoor lighting creates a magical atmosphere with its series of luminescent glass spheres that light up like pure architectural volumes of light.
In Vitro Unplugged is designed to follow you wherever you go, making it a perfect companion for cozy evenings and a stylish addition to your home during daylight hours. The lamp weighs next to nothing and has a colorful silicone handle that makes it easy to transport from place to place. No wires or plugs are required, giving you total freedom of movement and flexibility.
The lamp comes in seven different finishes: white, forest green, light green, deep brown, terracotta, black and anthracite. This variety in design makes it possible to adapt the lamp to any taste and interior style.
Philippe Starck describes his vision for In Vitro with the words:
"Since the dawn of time, the light bulb has been protected by a glass dome. Today, this disappears in favor of the light itself. It is the poetic and surreal idea of dematerialized architectural lighting and the memory of space occupied by light."The light from In Vitro Unplugged is soft and diffuse, without strong contrasts, thanks to the advanced Edge Lighting technology. Here, the point-like LEDs are hidden by an opalescent diffuser that smooths out the light.
The collection also includes several installation types: Bollard versions can be easily attached to any surface, while the suspended models integrate the power cable into the lamp design for an elegant look. The In Vitro Rod version, available in two sizes, offers a rigid suspension system that preserves the In Vitro series' characteristic encapsulated light design.
Philippe Starck's In Vitro collection, with its cutting-edge design and functionality, continues to set new standards for modern outdoor lighting.
